How to ensure the quality and performance of Jacquard Rib Knit Fabric in the raw material preparation stage?

In the production process of jacquard rib knit fabric, the raw material preparation stage is the key starting point for the quality of the fabric. And a series of treatments such as cleaning, combing, and spinning of the fibers are the core steps to ensure that the fiber quality and performance meet the requirements of subsequent production.
When the fibers are collected or produced, various impurities are often attached to the surface. These impurities come from a wide range of sources. Natural fibers may carry dust, plant debris, insect residues contaminated during the growth process, and foreign matter mixed in during harvesting and transportation; chemical fibers may also have residual processing aids and oil stains during the production process. If these impurities are not removed, the quality of the fabric will be seriously affected. Therefore, fiber cleaning becomes the primary task in the raw material preparation stage.
Specialized washing equipment and detergents are usually used to clean fibers. For different types of fibers, the choice of cleaning methods and detergents are different. Natural fibers such as cotton and linen need to avoid excessive rubbing when washing to prevent fiber damage. Detergents are mostly mild, environmentally friendly, and can effectively remove impurities. During the cleaning process, the fiber is fully in contact with the detergent solution in the washing equipment, and the impurities are separated from the fiber surface through mechanical stirring, water flushing and other effects. After multiple rinsing, ensure that the detergent and impurities are completely removed and the fiber reaches a clean state. The cleaning of wool fiber is more particular. The water temperature and the pH value of the detergent need to be strictly controlled, otherwise it is easy to cause the wool fiber to shrink and deform, affecting its performance. Chemical fiber cleaning is relatively simple, but it is also necessary to ensure that the residual processing aids are removed to avoid these substances affecting the subsequent dyeing, weaving and other processes of the fiber. Through the meticulous cleaning process, the fiber can remove impurities, provide a clean foundation for subsequent processing, and also provide guarantees for the color, feel and hygienic properties of the fabric.
Although the impurities are removed from the cleaned fibers, they are still in a messy state. The fibers are entangled and arranged in disorder, which is not conducive to the subsequent spinning process. At this time, the fiber combing process plays an important role. The combing process is mainly completed by a combing machine, which is covered with various specifications and arrangements of needle cloth. When the fiber enters the carding machine, it is gradually loosened and combed under the action of the high-speed rotating roller and needle clothing.
The working principle of the carding machine is based on the friction and combing force between the fiber and the needle clothing. When the fiber passes through different rollers and needle clothing, it is repeatedly grabbed, combed and transferred. In this process, the messy fibers are gradually straightened out, so that the fibers are arranged in parallel in one direction to form a continuous fiber web. At the same time, the combing process can further remove the short fibers, fine impurities and residual defects in the fibers, and improve the purity of the fibers. For some longer fibers, combing can also straighten the fibers and improve the fiber morphology. In addition, the carding machine can also mix and comb different types of fibers according to the needs of the fabric, and evenly distribute fibers with different characteristics to optimize the performance of the fabric. After the combing process, the fibers are transformed from a loose and messy state to a fiber web with a certain structure and strength, providing good raw material conditions for the spinning process.
Spinning is the process of processing the combed fiber web into yarn with a certain strength and fineness, which is an important bridge connecting fibers and fabrics. In the raw material preparation of jacquard rib knitted fabrics, the quality of the spinning process directly affects the quality of the yarn, and then determines the performance of the fabric. The spinning process mainly includes key steps such as drafting and twisting.
Drafting is the process of drawing the fiber web longer and thinner. Through the drafting device, the fiber web is gradually stretched thinner, so that the distance between the fibers increases and the arrangement is more compact. In this process, the fibers are subjected to the tensile force, their length is extended, and the fineness is controlled. The precise control of the drafting multiple is very important. Too large or too small drafting multiples will affect the quality of the yarn. If the drafting multiple is too large, it may cause fiber breakage and reduce the yarn strength; if the drafting multiple is too small, the required yarn fineness and uniformity cannot be achieved. Twisting is a key step to give the yarn strength and stability. Under the action of the twisting device, the drafted fiber strips rotate around their own axis, so that the fibers are entangled with each other to form a yarn with a certain twist. The twist determines the strength, elasticity and gloss of the yarn. Appropriate twist can make the yarn strong enough and not easy to break, and at the same time give the yarn a certain elasticity and luster. Different types of fabrics have different requirements for yarn twist. Jacquard rib knitted fabrics need to accurately control the twist of the yarn according to their elasticity, wear resistance and other performance requirements.
During the spinning process, the quality of the yarn also needs to be monitored and adjusted in real time. By testing the fineness, strength, uniformity and other indicators of the yarn, problems can be found and adjusted in time. For example, if the yarn fineness is found to be uneven, the parameters of the drafting device need to be adjusted; if the yarn strength is insufficient, the twist needs to be appropriately increased. Only by ensuring that each yarn meets the quality standards can a solid foundation be laid for the subsequent weaving of high-quality jacquard rib knitted fabrics.
In the preparation stage of raw materials for jacquard rib knitted fabrics, fiber cleaning, combing, spinning and other processing processes are indispensable and closely connected. Cleaning removes impurities and provides a clean initial state for the fiber; combing and straightening the fiber to give it a good structure; spinning processes the fiber into yarn that meets the requirements. These processing processes strictly control the quality and performance of the fibers through scientific methods and sophisticated craftsmanship, providing strong guarantees for the subsequent weaving, dyeing and quality of the final product, allowing jacquard rib knitted fabrics to show unique charm and excellent performance in the market.
