How 1x1 polyester ribbed stretch fabric meets sports needs with its elasticity and breathability​

From the perspective of materials, the excellent elasticity of Durable 1x1 polyester ribbed stretch fabric for sportswear is not accidental. Its main component, polyester, is a high-strength synthetic fiber that has a certain elasticity itself, but the key to achieving the high elasticity required for sports lies in the combination with spandex. As a highly elastic fiber, spandex has a unique molecular structure. Its macromolecular segments are composed of flexible segments and rigid segments. The flexible segments give the fiber good elasticity, while the rigid segments ensure the dimensional stability of the fiber. During the weaving process of the fabric, spandex is interwoven with polyester in a certain proportion, so that the fabric can show good elasticity in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. When the wearer is exercising, whether it is jumping and shooting on the basketball court or twisting in dance training, the fabric can stretch naturally with the body's movements, without feeling tight and restrained, giving the body full freedom of movement. ​
The ribbed structure of this fabric also adds a lot to the elastic performance. In the 1x1 rib structure, the front coil and the back coil are arranged alternately, forming a spring-like structure. When stretched by external force, the gap between the coils increases and the fabric is stretched; when the external force disappears, the coils can return to their original state by virtue of their own elasticity. It is this unique structure that enables the fabric to maintain good elastic recovery after multiple stretches. Even after long-term, high-intensity exercise, it will not sag and deform, and always fits the body curve closely, providing continuous support for exercise. ​
Breathability is also a highlight of 1x1 polyester rib stretch fabric. Polyester fiber has a special surface morphology and internal structure. Its surface is relatively smooth, and there are certain gaps between the fibers. These gaps constitute channels for gas and moisture transmission. During exercise, the heat and sweat generated by the human body can be quickly discharged from the surface of the fabric through these channels. At the same time, the knitted structure of the fabric also helps the circulation of air, and combined with the rib structure, it forms a unique breathable network. During running, as the steps alternate, the body and the air move relative to each other. This kind of fabric, with its good breathability, can quickly adjust the body surface temperature, avoid excessive heat accumulation, and reduce the risk of heat stroke. Even in high-intensity outdoor sports, such as mountaineering and cycling, and being in the sun for a long time, the wearer will not feel irritable and tired due to the poor breathability of the fabric, and can still focus on the sport itself. ​
Compared with other common sports fabrics, the elasticity and breathability advantages of 1x1 polyester rib stretch fabric are more prominent. Although cotton fabrics are soft and skin-friendly, they have limited elasticity and are easily deformed after long-term wearing or multiple washings. They are also highly hygroscopic but slow to release moisture. When exercising, sweat is absorbed and difficult to evaporate quickly, which makes the wearer feel that the clothes are heavy and damp. Some ordinary chemical fiber fabrics, although they have certain advantages in quick-drying, lack elasticity, restrict movement when worn, and have unsatisfactory breathability, which can easily cause stuffiness during exercise. 1x1 polyester rib stretch fabric combines the strengths of both. It has good elasticity to ensure flexibility and excellent breathability to keep the body dry. ​
In actual sports scenes, the elasticity and breathability advantages of 1x1 polyester rib stretch fabric are fully reflected. In fitness training, whether it is various push-ups and stretching movements during strength training, or jumping and squatting in aerobic exercise, the high elasticity of the fabric can ensure that the clothing always fits the body and will not slip or shift due to large movements.
